As everybody knows by now, back in November, Machine Head lost two key members with Phil Demmel and Dave McClain, leaving the future of the band in limbo.  However, Robb Flynn said that their departures didn't mean the end of Machine Head.  Just a couple of days ago, the band announced that it started holding auditions for a new guitarist and drummer.

However, some exciting news just came out of the Machine Head camp, and that is that the band will be touring in celebration of the 25th anniversary of their debut album Burn My Eyes later this year, by playing the album in its entirety.

And if that's not enough, joining Robb and Jared MacEachern for these special shows will be original drummer Chris Kontos and original lead guitarist Logan Mader.  How cool is that, right?  This is certainly going to be a huge nostalgia trip for fans since the beginning, and it will be great for new fans to get a glimpse of the past.  The first leg will take place across Europe, with North American dates slated for November.

As you may have heard by now, Savage Messiah are releasing their fifth studio album Demons on May 17th through Century Media Records.  I had the chance to hear the whole album, and it's phenomenal.  Review is coming soon. 

​In other Savage Messiah related news, the band have announced that they have a new drummer and lead guitarist.  Coming in on drums is Charly Carreton, and David Hruska on lead guitar.  Charly can be seen playing with the band in the music video for the new track "Under No Illusions".

Lead guitarist Sam S Junior departed from the band at the start of the year to pursue other interests, but he recorded a few solos and a couple of overdub parts on the album.

Most recently, Disturbed wrapped up the first leg of the Evolution World Tour, which traveled across the U.S. and Canada.  The next two legs will be happening in Europe.  The first leg is a headline run with Skindred supporting, followed by another European run where the band will be doing a mix of festivals and headline dates, but before that, the band will play a couple of U.S festivals, which are the Sonic Temple Art & Music Festival and Rocklahoma. 

​After that, the band will be returning to North America for the second leg, which will begin on July 21st in Mankato, Minnesota, and run throguh October 11th in St. Louis.

You people better be ready to get your thrash on because Death Angel have announced the details regarding their ninth studio album!  The album will be titled Humanicide, and it will be released on May 31st through Nuclear Blast Records.  This also marks the band's fourth album to be produced by the one and only Jason Suecof.  The track listing and cover artwork can be seen down below. 

For the artwork, the band returned to working with Brent Elliott White, who did the artwork for Relentless Retribution and The Dream Calls For Blood, and it also sees the return of the wolves the band have used on the cover artwork of the aforementioned albums.  Looks sick, doesn't it?

If you're craving to get a taste of the album, the title track is available for streaming down below.  This beast of a track is the album opener, and just like you'd expect, it's a thrash frenzy with frenetic riffs, rampaging drums and awesome vocals!  I'm going to stop talking now!  Crank this bad boy!

As if the spring tour season wasn't awesome and heavy enough already, it's about to get even heavier with this latest announcement.  It was just recently that Deicide announced they would be touring North America in the spring, and they have one doozy of a lineup, as Origin, Jungle Rot and The Absence will be joining them for the ride.  Of course, like every time, people were wondering where they were going to play.  Well, the dates have now been revealed.

The tour will begin on May 11th in Austin, Texas and run for three weeks, spanning 18 shows across the U.S. and Canada, before wrapping up on June 1st in New York City.  This tour will also mark the band's first tour with new guitarist Chris Cannella, who replaced guitarist Mark English earlier this year, and their first dates in support of their latest album Overtures Of Blasphemy.  See the dates below!  More dates coming soon!

Why not start your morning with some awesome news and some awesome new music?  Because Amon Amarth have revealed the details for their much-anticipated new studio album.  The album will be titled The Berserker, and it will be released on May 3 via Metal Blade Records. 

The album is the follow up to 2016's very well-received Jomsviking, and it was recorded in Los Angeles with producer Jay Ruston (Anthrax, Steel Panther, Uriah Heep and Stone Sour).  The cover art and full track listing can be seen below.

If that's not enough, there's also a taste of the record available.  The first single "Raven's Flight" is available for streaming down below.  It's straight-ahead Amon Amarth as you'd expect with Johan Hegg's signature gutterals, and some phenomenal guitar work from Olavi Mikkonen and Johan Soderberg.  My favourite part of the song would have to be the guitar harmonies in the middle and towards the end.  Crank it!

It's finally ready, ladies and gentlemen!  After seven years since we started hearing about it, Possessed are ready to release their first new studio album in 33 years.  The much anticipated follow up to their legendary sophomore album Beyond The Gates (1986) will be titled Revelations Of Oblivion, and will be released on May 10th through Nuclear Blast Records.

Possessed first revealed that they were working on new material back in late 2012, and in 2017, they revealed that they signed to Nuclear Blast Records, and that the record was to arrive in 2018.  That didn't happen unfortunately, but it's ready now.  The album will feature 12 brand new tracks and you can see the full track listing and the artwork below.  The album is available for pre-order now.

Also available is the first taste of the album with the track "No More Room In Hell".  The official visualizer video can be streamed below, and it's brutality at its finest!
