 | Blog author: Alex Stojanovic Just a few days ago, we got the exciting news that after years and years of waiting, Demons & Wizards, the supergroup featuring Jon Schaffer of Iced Earth and Hansi Kursch of Blind Guardian will release their much-anticipated third studio album aptly titled III on February 21st through Century Media Records. To hype things up even more, the band have released the music video for the first official single called "Diabolic", which is the album's opening track. The video is available for streaming down below. It's an 8-minute epic, and there's a lot going on. Both Hansi and Jon have given comments regarding the song. |
Hansi: "‘Diabolic’ for sure is a musical statement and its message is very clear and precise: We take no prisoners! We had a hard time figuring out a proper opener to “III”, but when ‘Diabolic’ took shape, we realized it was the perfect introduction to the album!”
Jon: "This song is a sequel to ‘Heaven Denies’ and it is dark, heavy, vicious, melodic, and totally atmospheric, everything I love about songwriting and making records in eight minutes! ‘Diabolic’ has the right attitude to make a strong statement as the first song that people will hear after 15 years!"
