I had the chance to hear the whole album, and it's phenomenal. Review is coming soon. In other Savage Messiah related news, the band have announced that they have a new drummer and lead guitarist. Coming in on drums is Charly Carreton, and David Hruska on lead guitar. Charly can be seen playing with the band in the music video for the new track "Under No Illusions". Lead guitarist Sam S Junior departed from the band at the start of the year to pursue other interests, but he recorded a few solos and a couple of overdub parts on the album. |
At the same time, Ali Richardson from Bleed From Within and Dan Wilding of Carcass shared drumming duties on the album, before Charly came in to officially replace drummer Andrea Gorio. As a result, you can say that Demons was recorded during a transitional period for the band. We wish Sam and Andrea all the best in their future endeavours. The band's new lineup will make its live debut on the Full Metal Cruise next month. The band will then play a couple of record launch shows in the U.K., followed by an extensive European tour as special guests for Symphony X.
