The touring will begin in Europe in March and April, followed by a North American headline tour, which has just been announced. The spring trek is set to begin on May 2nd in Atlanta and wrap up on June 3rd in Miami. Support on the tour will come from Pallbearer, Skeletonwitch and Dust Bolt. Tickets are on sale this Friday, February 2nd at 10am local time. It's finally time to share with you some updates....
First and foremost, as many of you have rightly suspected, Dirge Within has sadly come to an end. Being the creator and sole founding member of the band, I tried to resurrect and recreate something that once was. It takes more than one man to be a band, and when I recognized that, it was over. Experience has taught me that when you try to recapture the past, it's never the same. It was time to repent Together with a group of new people, I have formed a new band, and it's definitely very METAL. It's all still in the very early stages, but the writing and creation of NEW music has been taking place in Chicago. We're not ready for a full reveal just yet, but we will reveal the lineup and details in due time, when there is music ready to share. It is an exciting time, and while I know that some will be disappointed to hear that the Dirge Within revival is no more, I want all of you to know that I appreciate each and every one of you. For all who have followed my journey through many musical projects, and to those who have joined me as a part of my past bands... REPENTANCE is upon you! Shaun Glass Obviously we're all disappointed in the split, but we're all looking forward to hearing the music in Shaun's new band. I have a feeling that the new band will be called Repentance. Stay tuned for more updates regarding the new band.
Just a couple of weeks ago, the band announced that they parted ways with drummer Greg Hall, and there is currently no announcement on his replacement. Who will take his place? We'll just have to wait and see. Stay tuned for more updates on the new Sacred Reich album and who will take Greg Hall's place on the drums. Looking forward to hearing the new material.
 Heidelberg, March 24th: the place and the date you don't want to miss, as it will host the Heidelberg Deathfest 2018. With „Support Your Local Death!“ chosen as the official slogan, the festival will present international acts as well as the headliners Asphyx or Benighted. All in all it will be a bit more old-school when compared to previous editions, but will remain the right place to be for all fans of extreme metal music! Besides that, HDDF will feature a (Death)-Metal-Market, a Chill-Out Lounge and a Food-Area. Be part of one of the best death metal events in Germany’s most beautiul city Heidelberg!
