2022 is a big year for Def Leppard, as they are celebrating their 45th anniversary, and they have a couple of major events going on.  The first being that they will finally be heading out on the Stadium Tour along with Motley Crue, Poison and Joan Jett & The Blackhearts this summer after having it being postponed twice due to the pandemic.

However, with the celebration also comes brand new music in the form of their twelfth studio album.  The band's first album since their self-titled album in 2015 will be titled Diamond Star Halos, and will be released on May 27th, giving fans some time to get familiar with the new tunes that they will be showcasing on the upcoming tour.

The album will feature 15 brand new tracks, and the first single "Kick", is available for streaming down below.  Def Leppard have always had diverse sounding albums since Hysteria, so it's no doubt that this will be another album offering up an eclectic collection of songs ranging from hard rock to pop rock.  Two particular tracks: "This Guitar" and "Lifeless" will feature guest vocals from Alison Krauss.

The album is now available for pre-order at the band's website in deluxe edition, two-LP vinyl, digital and more.

There was certainly a lot of speculation surrounding who would fill the void left behind by Gene Hoglan when he departed from Testament.  Everyone was naming candidates as they always do, and one of the most wished candidates was none other than Dave Lombardo, who already was in the band back in 1999 when they recorded The Gathering.

It turns out that everyone who was wishing for Lombardo to come back had their wishes come true, because he is officially back in Testament.  The band will hit the road this spring on the U.S Bay Strikes Back tour with Exodus and Death Angel, and this will be Lombardo's first tour with Testament in over 2 decades.  Welcome back to the Testament Legions Dave!  Things are about to get brutal!
