I first met James Sheehan and the band Amplitusion back in 2012. I was treated to a show filled with a "CRUSH"ing menagerie of metal and their version of movie music magic. 
Yes, you read that right. This band can take a song, and create a bigger, and more imaginative sound unlike any band I have heard. 
Today I was delighted to find this new offering from Amplitusion waiting for me on facebook. 
One sure fact about a progressive band such as Amplitusion, one does not know what the ears will be absorbing. The other known fact is that they never disappoint. 
"Pelotonic Power" is an instrumental song that took me on a cosmic trip. I literally felt myself becoming lost within it and feeling as if I was travelling through space. 
Getting to one of their shows is a must. Monster sound and dynamic presence from James' on stage will make you a fan too!

With II: Void Worship,PILGRIM takes a new approach to their songwriting, replacing meditated, repetitive hypnosis-inducing dirges with more calculated and demented power-house riffs. They build, shape, and climb into frenzied climaxes and fade into sweet sonic releases, molding perfectly crafted rock songs into twisting spires of evil doom metal masterpieces. It is obvious that PILGRIM has matured, both musically and as individuals, in their past two years of global conquest.

"Our version of Amazing Grace was inspired by a good friend of ours who attended the candlelight vigil of the 19 Granite Mountain Hotshots that died fighting the Yarnell Hill Wildfire on June 30, 2013. His exact words were "If you can listen to Amazing Grace being played on the bagpipes and not shed a tear, you have no soul". It spoke volumes to me about what a powerful song this is, considering that our friend is not a religious man. Our prayers go out to the families of all 20 members of hotshot crew. Thank you to Casey Kendel that played the bagpipes for us at the end of the video."
