It's coming on a year since we last heard anything from Kill The Lights, the new band featuring James Clark (Throw The Fight) on vocals, Jordan Wheelan (Still Remains) and Travis Montgomery (Threat Signal) on guitars, Michael "Moose" Thomas (ex-Bullet For My Valentine) on drums, and Davey Richmond (Glamour Of The Kill) on bass.  The band announced their arrival in January 2019, and released the first single "The Faceless", followed by the second single "Watch You Fall" about a month later, then everything went silent.  People began to wonder if the band had broken up already.

Well, the news we've been all been waiting for from Testament is finally here:  the details for the much-anticipated follow-up to Brotherhood Of The Snake!  The band's twelfth studio album will be titled Titans Of Creation, and will be released on April 3rd through Nuclear Blast Records.  You can see the awesome cover artwork and track listing down below.  The artwork gives off a Formation Of Damnation vibe, and was created by Eliran Kantor, who also did the artwork for Brotherhood Of The Snake and Dark Roots Of Earth.  The album was also once again produced by Juan Urteaga, and mixed by Andy Sneap.

When people said that 2020 was going to be a year of massive tours, they weren't kidding, especially considering the amount of huge tours that have already been announced.  Now there's another one to add to the list.  Disturbed will be celebrating the 20th anniversary of their landmark debut album The Sickness this year, and to celebrate, the band will be heading out on tour in North America this summer on The Sickness 20th Anniversary Tour.  They won't be playing the entire album, but in addition to the iconic title track, they will play other cuts from the album, as well as their extensive catalog.  Coming along for the ride as special guests are Staind and Bad Wolves.

Now let me just say that I find this is interesting because Aaron Lewis of Staind has said that the band (Staind) will never be a touring entity again, except for playing the occasional festivals.  I guess they saw this as a great opportunity and they changed their minds.  Whether this turns out to be the only tour that Staind will do these days remains to be seen.  Anyways, I digress.

The tour will begin on July 15th in St. Louis, and run for two months until September 12th in Auburn, Washington.  Tickets go on sale this Friday, January 31st at 10 AM local time.  Fan pre-sale begins tomorrow (Tuesday, January 28th) at 10 AM local time.  Fans can use the code "ANNIVERSARY" to access the pre-sale.  VIP packages will be available for this tour, and will become available at the time of the fan pre-sale.  See the full list of tour dates down below for The Sickness 20th Anniversary Tour, and be ready to re-live the good old days.

Wow, what is happening here?  It has sadly been announced that Sean Reinert, former drummer of Death and Cynic, has passed away at the age of just 48.  No cause of death has been confirmed yet, but all we know is that he was found unresponsive in his California home.  This is certainly another big loss for the metal world.

Seriously, I think I've read more bad news regarding world events and deaths of musicians and other celebrities in the first 25 days of 2020, than I did in the last six months of 2019.  This year did not start off great with the stuff we heard that happened around the world, the passing of Neil Peart, and the other musician and celebrity deaths that were announced.  The new year and decade does not seem to be starting out right.  We'll see what happens as the year goes along.

Our sincerest condolences go out to Sean Reinert's family, friends, bandmates and fans around the world.

On February 21st, the 15-year wait for the much-anticipated third Demons & Wizards studio album III, will finally be put to rest.  We've already gotten a taste of the record with the first single "Diabolic", but it's about time for another taste, don't you think?  Down below, you can stream the second new track from the record called "Midas Disease".

While "Diabolic" was a long epic track, this is the complete opposite, where it's just 4.5 minutes of straightforward slamming hard rock.   According to Jon Schaffer, the riffing was inspired by Malcolm Young, which makes total sense, because the riffs have a big AC/DC vibe.

I just cannot believe that I'm typing these words.  Rush's Neil Peart has passed away at the age of 67 after a quiet battle with brain cancer.  He succumbed to the illness on January 7th.  What a horrible start to the new year.  I'm just in a state of numbness right now from this horrible news.  Neil's family confirmed his passing earlier today.  He is survived by his wife Carrie and 10-year old daughter Olivia.  Our sincerest condolences to Neil's family, to Geddy and Alex, his friends, and everyone else who had the privilege of knowing him.
