It's been over a year since Sacred Reich announced that they had parted ways with drummer Greg Hall.  Ever since then, they've been working on new material for what will be their first album in 23 years to be released in 2019 through Metal Blade Records.  They will be entering the studio to record it in February.  Today, the band have announced that they are rejoined by Dave McClain, who played on their last album Heal.  I guess after Dave finished his time in Machine Head with their recent tour just recently, the situation seemed right for him to slide back into the band.  I can say that we all sort of saw this coming after the Machine Head tour was done.

​Both the band and Dave are really excited about moving forward with the next chapter of Sacred Reich.

Attention all HammerFall fans worldwide!  The band have just presented you all with an early Christmas gift.  In a video message posted on the band's Facebook page, they revealed that they will be entering the studio on January 7th to begin recording the new album, which will be the follow-up to 2016's Built To Last, for a 2019 release.

But wait....there's more!  Making this gift even better is the revelation of the album's title and release date.  The album will be titled Dominion and will be released on August 16th through Napalm Records.  How's that for an early Christmas gift?  Pretty awesome, right?  Stay tuned for more updates!

The new year will see Overkill release their nineteenth studio album The Wings Of War, which will be out on February 22 on Nuclear Blast Records.  To hype us up, the band have released the first single for our listening pleasure.  The lyric video for the new track titled "Last Man Standing" is available for streaming down below.

The track is the record's opening number, and all I can say is that it's a beast of a tune.  The whole band is simply on fire.  Beware, because the Mean Green Killing Machine is back and is as deadly as ever.  Enough from me!  Crank this bad boy!

The Raven Age, the band featuring Steve Harris of Iron Maiden's son George Harris on guitar, have announced that they are ready to release their sophomore album.  The album will be titled Conspiracy and will be released on March 8th through their own label Corvid Records.  The album's artwork and track listing can be seen down below.  This will be the band's first album to feature new vocalist Matt James.  The band have already released three singles from the album for us to hear.  All three are posted down below.  The third and latest single was just released called "Fleur De Lis".

The Raven Age are prepping for another busy year as far as touring goes.  They will begin the Conspiracy cycle with a European headline tour beginning on March 20th in Bristol, England and running through April 10th in Den Bosch, Netherlands.  The band will then serve as direct support to Iron Maiden on the Legacy Of The Beast tour across North and South America in the summer.  Pre-order Conspiracy here.

The tours for 2019 just keep coming!  In addition to the Slayer tour just being announced, another big tour that's just been announced for the spring will be Godsmack and Volbeat.

The tour will begin on April 16th in Nashville and run through May 11th in Quebec City, lasting for 17 shows.

The U.S dates will see Godsmack headlining with Volbeat serving as special guests, and the Canadian dates will see both bands co-headlining.

Slayer have been on tour all around North America and Europe this year on their farewell tour, but they've still got more places to play in 2019 before they officially throw in the towel.  There will be a leg in Australia, New Zealand and Asia, another leg in Europe in the summer, as well as another North American leg in the spring that has just been announced. 

The newly announced North American leg will last for 16 shows throughout the month of May, and will feature one awesome batch of special guests, which are Lamb Of God, Amon Amarth and Cannibal Corpse.  How's that?  If you missed Slayer on their first two North American legs this year, here's your chance to catch them live one more time.

It has been a long three years since we first heard new music from Children Of Bodom, but that wait is now over.

As you may have heard, the band will be releasing their tenth studio album titled Hexed on March 8th through Nuclear Blast Records, and today, the band have premiered the music video for the first single titled "Under Grass & Clover", which is available for streaming watch down below.

The song sounds like a good blend of the current Children Of Bodom sound and the old sound.  I think both sides of the fence will be pleased.
