Blog author: Alex Stojanovic It's been over a year since Sacred Reich announced that they had parted ways with drummer Greg Hall. Ever since then, they've been working on new material for what will be their first album in 23 years to be released in 2019 through Metal Blade Records. They will be entering the studio to record it in February. Today, the band have announced that they are rejoined by Dave McClain, who played on their last album Heal. I guess after Dave finished his time in Machine Head with their recent tour just recently, the situation seemed right for him to slide back into the band. I can say that we all sort of saw this coming after the Machine Head tour was done. Both the band and Dave are really excited about moving forward with the next chapter of Sacred Reich. |
Dave also commented about his return: "I’m so excited about re-joining my brothers in Sacred Reich. To have the opportunity to make and play music with one of my favorite metal bands was always something I hoped could happen. I can’t wait for everyone to hear the new album that we’re recording in February and to come see us out on the road in 2019-2020."
Needless to say that we are all very excited about this as well and we're looking forward to hearing new music from Sacred Reich! Stay tuned for more updates regarding the new album as well as tour dates!
