| Blog author: Alex Stojanovic Well, once again, that took long enough. After waiting for an eternity, Megadeth are FINALLY ready to unleash their long-awaited sixteenth studio album The Sick, The Dying...& The Dead. The follow-up to Dystopia will be released on September 2nd through Dave Mustaine's label Tradecraft Records, powered by Universal Music. This mark's the band's first album in 6 years, making it the longest gap the band has had between two studio albums. As mentioned above, this album was plagued with so many setbacks and challenges, including tons of touring behind Dystopia, Mustaine's cancer battle in 2019, the pandemic, and the controversial split with David Ellefson in 2021, so in a way, it can kind of be considered a comeback album, but not 100%. The band recently welcomed back James Lomenzo as their permanent bassist after he served as a touring bassist for the band's two legs of the Metal Tour Of The Year. However, he doesn't appear on the new album. Handling the bass on the album was none other than Steve DiGiorgio of Testament and Death. The awesome cover artwork and the full official track listing can be seen down below. You can also get the first taste of the new album with the first official single "We'll Be Back" down below. Musically, it contains elements of Killing Is My Business, Peace Sells and So Far, So Good...So What, which is of course awesome. Megadeth will be out on tour later this year across the U.S with Five Finger Death Punch. The Sick, The Dying...& The Dead track listing 01. The Sick, The Dying...& The Dead 02. Life In Hell 03.
