The summer/fall North American tour is set to begin on July 5th in Seattle, and will run through October 2nd in Los Angeles. Special guest on the tour will be blues guitarist Kenny Wayne Shepherd. I love how Van Halen have an artist of a different style opening the tour, because when I saw them 3 years ago on the Different Kind Of Truth tour, the opening act was jazz/R&B/soul/funk legends Kool & The Gang and they're incredible. 2015 already has so many big tours happening this year, such as Rush's R40 tour, Scorpions/Queensryche tour, Def Leppard's summer tour, Slipknot's "Summer Last Stand" tour, and now the Van Halen tour has just been added. Van Halen have announced that they will be touring North America this summer. The last time the band played a show was in July 2013, but the band hasn't done a full-scale tour since 2012. In celebration of the tour, the band will perform a special show on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on March 30th, where they will be performing some of their classic hits, and the show will be broadcast over two nights on March 30th and 31st. This also marks the band's first U.S. TV appearance with David Lee Roth. On March 31st, Van Halen will also be releasing their new live album Tokyo Dome Live In Concert, which was recorded in June 2013 at the Tokyo Dome.
