Blog author: Alex Stojanovic Over the last year, there have been some changes in the U.D.O. lineup. The second guitarist spot became vacant in early 2017 when guitarist Kasperi Heikkinen left the band. He was then replaced by guitarist Bill Hudson, who only lasted a little over a year before he left the band earlier this year. Former guitarist Stefan Kaufmann stepped in as a temporary fill-in for the band's Dirkschneider summer dates. Then just a few weeks ago, longtime bassist Fitty Wienhold announced that he would be departing from the band. Fitty's last show will be the final Dirkschneider show in Mallorca, Spain this month. Today, the band have announced the new guitarist and bassist. The new guitarist is Dee Dammers and Tilen Hundrap is the new bassist. The band comments on the new members: "We are extremely proud and happy to finally be able to introduce you to our two new Band Members! Dee Dammers on guitar and Tilen Hudrap on bass. Both are very talented Musicians and we are really excited to have them in U.D.O.! We hope that you will enjoy the new line up, and that it will be around for a very long time. The new line up will start rehearsals for the upcoming U.D.O. tour of Russia very shortly. We will, as always, keep you updated on our progress via social media. And of course, our very best wishes to Fitty, who has been much, much more than just the band’s bass player for all these years." See our review of the band's new album Steelfactory here. |
