Photo credit: Stephanie Cabral | Blog author: Alex Stojanovic At long last! After four long years of waiting, we finally get to hear some of the new crushing brutality from Testament. The band have unleashed a lyric video for the title track of their new album Brotherhood Of The Snake and it just SLAYS! This is how the record will be opening. Stream it down below. When Dark Roots Of Earth came out, I thought "Rise Up" could not be topped as an opening song, but it turns out that I was wrong. This just goes to another level. Man, Gene Hoglan wasn't joking when he said that this track would contain the fastest blast beat he's ever played. Of course Chuck is sounding as brutal as ever vocally, and the guitar work from Alex Skolnick and Eric Peterson is brilliant and brutal as always and the bass from Steve DiGiorgio just pounds like hell. I think there will be probably two more songs released for us to hear before the record is released. Brotherhood Of The Snake is out October 28th via Nuclear Blast Records. Testament will tour Europe supporting Amon Amarth from late October to late November. Now if you'll excuse me, I gotta change my pants. |
