 | Blog author: Alex Stojanovic Everyone's favourite metal competition series: Shredders Of Metal, by the good folks at BangerTV, is returning for its third edition in a couple of weeks. The third season will premiere on July 27th. It's different this time though. There will be no shredding strings, but instead, there will be shredding skins, because it's drum edition this year. I honestly thought that with drums, it would be called Pounders Of Metal or Blasters Of Metal, or something along those lines. Either way, I'm excited for this new season, especially because I'm a drummer myself. |
On the judges panel for this season, will be BangerTV founder Sam Dunn, along with drum extrordinaires Oli Beaudoin (Kataklysm / Ex-Deo), and Chris Adler (ex-Lamb Of God). The format will be similar to the last season. Eight drummers will face off in an elimination style competition, for a chance to win a prize pack courtesy of Pearl Drums, and be crowned champion of season 3. Contestants include Shareef Hassanien, Andrew Suarez, Dherryk Doucette, Nick Rodgers, Alexis von Kraven, Vito De Francesco, Mike Harshaw and Chris Stephenson. Who will join past winners Frankie Caracci (Vesperia) and Nik Popovic (Nik Nocturnal) as the Ultimate Shredder; Pounder, Blaster, whatever? Let's wait and see.
