Blog author: Alex Stojanovic As if Iron Maiden announcing Canadian dates today wasn't exciting enough, now the full details of Rush's new live DVD R40 Live have been revealed, including the DVD cover art and the configurations it will be available in. The show was shot over the course of two sold-out nights at the Air Canada Centre here in Toronto on June 17th and 19th. Many of you reading this might have been at the shows, I was there. What's cool about the cover is that the awesome shot was captured by baseball legend Randy Johnson, who is both a friend and fan of Rush and was the band's photographer for a portion of the tour. The show sees the band playing several fan favourites like "Tom Sawyer", "The Spirit Of Radio", "Red Barchetta", "2112", "Closer To The Heart", "Roll The Bones" and "Subdivisions", as well as eye-opening and jaw-dropping rarities like "Jacob's Ladder", "Cygnus X-1: Book II: Hemispheres Part 1: Prelude", "Lakeside Park", "Anthem" and "What You're Doing", and more recent tracks like "Headlong Flight", "The Anarchist" and "Far Cry" in an epic 40-year career setlist. The DVD will be available in the following configurations: - 3-CD/1 Blu-ray set - 3-CD/1 DVD set - 3-CD set (audio only) - Single disc Blu-ray - Single disc DVD Which one will you be picking up?
