  | Blog author: Alex Stojanovic Oh boy, if you thought this summer was already heavy enough, things are about to go to a new level! After a massively successful run of shows in South America at the end of 2022, the Pantera tribute tour (NOT A REUNION!) featuring Phil Anselmo and Rex Brown, along with Zakk Wylde and Charlie Benante have a busy year ahead with shows all across Europe and North America taking place in the spring and summer, and will go into 2024 as well, and beyond. The band have already previously announced North American dates that include festivals, as well as dates supporting Metallica, but the big news is that they have announced a full run of headline dates taking place alongside the festival and Metallica dates, and will include special guests Lamb Of God. If that's not enticing enough to make you want to go, then I don't know what is. The band's first North American date will take place at the Welcome To Rockville festival in Daytona Beach, Florida, and will run for 35 shows this year, plus an additional 5 in 2024. It's been a highly debated topic since it was announced, but it's obvious that demand speaks volumes, and people are so incredibly excited to hear Pantera's music live again. There's a whole generation of fans who never got to hear those songs live, so the fact that this is happening is a great thing. You have two surviving members from the golden age of Pantera, plus two guys who were incredibly close with the Pantera camp, and legends in their own right. It's obviously not the same without Vinnie and Dime, but if people want to hear those songs with some authenticity, this is it.
