Geoff Tate's Operation:Mindcrime, Mike Campese, http://thechancetheater.com/event/6330105 Advance tickets available. | Guitar virtuoso Mike Campese is planning a very busy schedule for 2016. After having a great time at NAMM '16 showing off the latest gear from his endorsers as well as his guitar prowess and meeting up with new and old friends, he and his band are gearing up to opening for Geoff Tate's Operation: Mindcrime on March 4th, at the Chance Theater in Poughkeepsie, NY. Multi-platinum selling, Grammy nominated singer/songwriter Geoff Tate is regarded as one of the most skilled vocalists in the rock genre with hundreds of modern, popular artists citing him and his band as a major influence. Combining social consciousness and expertly crafted lyrics with high-energy, melodically complex music, Geoff and his band have become internationally recognized as the thinking man’s rock band. Moving forward, Mike's top 3 musical goals this year will include releasing a new album with YouTube teaser clips and music video this spring, Touring, and getting new instructional material out there for other aspiring guitar players. "The new album is very diverse with primarily acoustic and splashes of electric guitar, with a lot of Italy and some Hawaii inspirations. This album will have a lot of acoustic material on it and some electric guitar, about 70/30. I released an acoustic album before titled, “Hidden Treasures”, it was pretty much all acoustic. This one mixes in more electric and there is a really nice blend of material on this album." ~Mike Campese Note: The maestro plays all the instruments on the album himself. Some of Campese's influences are Black Sabbath, Jimi Hendrix, Paganini, Al Di Meola, and Yngwie Malmsteen, etc. Click here to access the Mike Campese website. |
