After eight LONG years, Metallica are finally ready to unleash their long-awaited follow-up to Death Magnetic, and they have revealed all the details like the title, artwork, release date, full track listing and the first single. The album will be titled Hardwired...To Self-Destruct and will be released worldwide on November 18th (Kirk Hammett's birthday) through the band's label Blackened Recordings. This will be their first studio record to be released through the label. The album will be a double record with a total of twelve tracks (six tracks on each disc) and a bonus third disc in the deluxe edition containing the riffs that were the album's origins. Above here is the first single, the album's opener "Hardwired", and holy shit does it sound monstrous! It's total old school Metallica. I'm getting a Kill 'Em All/Master Of Puppets vibe here. The album was produced by Greg Fidelman along with James Hetfield and Lars Ulrich. Sonically, it sounds so crisp and clean and not heavily distorted like Death Magnetic.
