Blog author: Alex Stojanovic Well here's something unexpected for us Toronto metalheads. Next Tuesday, November 29th, guess who will be taking over the Opera House for a special intimate performance. The answer is Metallica. Metallica at the Opera House. Who would've thought? This would definitely be something cool to see to get a feel of the early Kill 'Em All club days. If you're a Fifth Member you can enter a contest where you'll get a chance to win two tickets for $25 each. If you're not a Fifth member, you can still buy two tickets, but they will be a little pricier. However, this event will also be a charitable event because all the proceeds will go to the Daily Bread Food Bank, and there will be collection bins at the venue where fans can bring canned goods and non-perishable food items. It's great that this show is also part of a good cause. The band have posted the following on their website regarding the intimate show. “We’re back from our whirlwind promotional trip to Europe and Hardwired…To Self-Destruct is officially out! That trip was capped off with a very special night on Friday at the London House of Vans and now we are off to conquer Canada with a visit to Toronto next week. We can’t get enough of that hot, sweaty old-school small show vibe so, while we’re there, we plan to set foot on the stage at the intimate historic Opera House for a special one-night-only Fifth Members show on Tuesday, November 29th. |
If you’re not a Fifth Member, you’ll still have a chance to purchase up to two tickets per person on Wednesday, November 22 at 11:00 AM EST at Ticketmaster.ca for a price of $100 each, again with all proceeds donated to The Daily Bread Food Bank. Collection bins will be also available at the door, so we encourage you to support those less fortunate by bringing canned goods or other non-perishable food items to the show.
Join us in Toronto as we continue the celebration!”
So, fellow Toronto metalheads! Are you going to this one-night-only intimate Metallica show at the Opera House, or are you just going to wait until they come back in the new year and play a bigger venue?
