Blog author: Alex Stojanovic It's been a long five years. However, after a lot of waiting, Lamb Of God are ready to release their long-awaited new album, and follow-up to 2015's VII: Sturm Und Drang. The album will be self-titled, and will be released on May 8th through Epic Records and Nuclear Blast Records. It's a very significant record for the band, because it's their very first one without Chris Adler, who officially left the band last year. Taking his place is Art Cruz, who started filling in for Chris in 2018 when the band was on tour with Slayer. However, the more tours the band did with Art, the speculation that Chris would no longer be involved with Lamb Of God started to increase, and was made official last summer. I have no doubts that Art will do a fine job because he's a killer drummer. Lamb Of God track listing: 01. Memento Mori 02. Checkmate 03. Gears 04. Reality Bath 05. New Colossal Hate 06. Resurrection Man 07. Poison Dream 08. Routes 09. Bloodshot Eyes 10. On The Hook Given that writing for this album began way before Chris left the band, it wouldn't surprise me if some of the tracks were written in collaboration with Chris, so some of the drum parts he already wrote for some of the songs will be present, but just be played by Art. Regardless, we're all looking forward to hearing new Lamb Of God. |
