Blog author: Alex Stojanovic It's gonna be 5 years this year since Slayer hung up the pentagram, but since then, Kerry King (the egotistical one trick pony) has had plans for a solo band, but the pandemic slowed things down drastically, and now's the perfect time to announce everything. After all the rumours that have been circulating regarding the lineup, we now know who is in it. With the exception of Paul Bostaph on drums, which has been obvious for a while, Phil Demmel is on lead guitar, Kyle Sanders of Hellyeah is on bass and Mark Osegueda of Death Angel is on vocals. The debut album called From Hell I Rise (very creative, King) is out on May 17, and was produced by Josh Wilbur, and the first single "Idle Hands" is available below. |
It's no surprise that several songs on the album are leftover tracks from the Repentless sessions, and the track listing and artwork are clearly from Slayer realms. At this point, I'm expecting Repentless Pt. 2, just with better production. From Hell I Rise track listing: 01. Diablo 02. Where I Reign 03. Residue 04. Idle Hands 05. Trophies Of The Tyrant 06.
