Blog author: Alex Stojanovic Wow, here's some news nobody saw coming. Longtime In Flames drummer Daniel Svensson has announced that he will be leaving the band after their current tour is wrapped up. The justification for his departure however, is very reasonable as he is leaving to focus on family life. The good thing is that there's no bad blood between Daniel and the other members. He also announced what his plan is for the future and that is that he will be opening his own brewery, which is his second passion. In a statement posted on Facebook, Daniel writes: |
It has truly been a fantastic journey and I want to thank Anders, Bjorn, Peter, Jesper and Niclas from the bottom of my heart, for all the great memories and experience that we've shared during the last 17 years(!) together.
t's hard to leave what have become my second family, but now it's time for me take care and spend more time with the most important people in my life - my wife and three daughters. Perhaps some of you will see me again, as I will start my very own brewery in the very near future. Something I am just as passionate about as In Flames.
I wish my friends in the band, the whole crew and everyone that's working for In Flames the very best in the future. To you, all the fans around the world, I want to say thank you massively for all the support you have shown me during my years in the band. Daniel."
In Flames are currently on tour in Europe and have dates from today (November 7th) in Huskvarna, Sweden up to November 20th in Leipzig, Germany, which will be the last chance fans will get to see the band with Daniel before he leaves. We wish Daniel the very best for the future.
