After taking 2013 off to recuperate, Swedish power metal favourites HammerFall are back in action in full force with a new studio album entitled (r)Evolution, set to be released on August 27th in Sweden, August 29th in Europe, September 1st in the U.K, and September 2nd in North America on Nuclear Blast Records. The album will be the follow-up to 2011’s release Infected. The track listing and album art can be viewed down below. The album’s first single “Bushido” will be released July 18th. The band worked with producer Fredrik Nordstrom, who produced the band’s first two albums Glory To The Brave (1997) and Legacy Of Kings (1998).  (r)Evolution promises to be a mixture of the band’s early sound and the band’s songwriting of the more recent years.

HammerFall have only three live appearances scheduled for this year at the following festivals:
July 31 – Wacken, Germany – Wacken Open Air
Aug 09 – Alicante, Spain – Leyendas Del Rock
Aug 29 – Gothenburg, Sweden – Stora Scenen Liseberg

The band is scheduled to begin a full blown European tour in the beginning of 2015. Stay tuned for dates.
