 | Blog author: Alex Stojanovic Wow, I cannot believe this. It has been reported that former Stone Temple Pilots and Velvet Revolver frontman Scott Weiland passed away earlier tonight. What's even more insane was that he was out on tour with his band The Wildabouts, and he was found in his bus, just before the band was about to take the stage tonight at the Medina Ballroom in Medina, Minnesota, and he was only 48 years old. Really sad. Scott first came on my radar back in 2004 when Velvet Revolver came out with their first album Contraband and I wore that album out, it was so good, then I went back and checked out his stuff with Stone Temple Pilots. |
He was a one-of-a-kind singer and frontman with a great talent, but it's no secret that he's had substance issues throughout the years, which led to him giving pretty bad performances and his dismissal from Stone Temple Pilots. Anyway, this is just a terrible loss. Crank all the music of all of Scott's bands in his memory. Our thoughts are with Scott's family and friends in this difficult time. R.I.P Scott (1967-2015), you will never be forgotten.
