Blog author: Alex Stojanovic German thrash kings Destruction are currently gearing up for a spring North American tour as direct support for Sepultura, however drummer Vaaver will be sitting out the tour due to him and his wife expecting their second child in June. Exciting news to hear. Filling in for Vaaver on the tour will be former Primal Fear and Annihilator drummer and fellow Canadian Randy Black. Knowing how technical of a drummer Vaaver is, there's only a few drummers out there that could pull off what Vaaver does. Before the North American tour, Destruction have a couple of shows in Europe and a string of headline dates in Mexico right before N.A, which Vaaver will play. |
Vaaver states: "I am going to be a father for the second time in my life and it's going to happen in June of 2015. I therefore have to apologize to all our fans for not being able to participate in the 2015 spring North American tour. I am convinced that Randy, an amazing drummer, a truly experienced thrasher, and a good friend of ours, will smoothly take over my drum throne for that period and will set the stages on fire."
Randy Black comments: "I take this as a very cool challenge and an honour to step in on drums for Vaaver to help the guys out and be a part of this great tour! I can assure the DESTRUCTION fans that I'm working my ass off getting the drum parts tight and brutal."
This is definitely a tour not to be missed. We would like to wish Randy and Destruction a great tour, and we would like to send a huge congratulations to Vaaver on his second child.
