Blog author: Alex Stojanovic Back in July, Lamb Of God were heading out on the second leg of the Slayer tour, but they made a bit of a surprising announcement when they said that Chris Adler would be sitting out the tour dates, and that Art Cruz of Prong would be filling in. We were all wondering what was going on with Chris, and hoping everything was alright. However, Chris revealed why he had to sit out the dates, and that's because of injuries from a motorcycle accident he experienced late last year that shattered his collarbone and right shoulder, and gave him chipped bones in his hip. He has been following a rigorous therapy schedule since July, but he assures us that he has been making progress and practicing every day to get back in shape. Chris posted the following message on his Facebook: Thank you all for the overwhelming amount of well wishes in response to my current absence from the Lamb of God shows. I’m humbled to know how many and how much you care. I had a motorcycle accident late last year that shattered my collarbone and right shoulder and also chipped bones in my hip. While surgery corrected the broken bones and I was able to play earlier this year, I experienced some issues related to the injuries that needed to be addressed with a rigorous schedule of physical and occupational therapy which, is what I have been doing regularly since July. I am making great progress in addition to playing/practicing every day. Playing drums is what I do and refuse to do it poorly. I will be back behind the kit ASAP. Thanks again for the love. See you soon, Chris |
Chris, take all the time you need to get back to full strength.
