Regarding the direction of the album, the band has promised it would be a return to their aggressive roots on the first two records, which is raising the excitement in all Bullet fans, including me. For now, the track "Raising Hell" is available as a little teaser of what we can expect from the album. The band have posted the following statement on their Facebook: "So today is the day. We've been working hard on this record for over a year now, writing and demoing a ton of material in that time. As we sit here on the 1st of February 2015, we have the most songs we've EVER had written for an album before recording session, and now begins the difficult process of choosing the best of the best of them to make the cut for #BFMV5. | Blog author: Alex Stojanovic Here is the news that Bullet For My Valentine fans around the world have been waiting for. Recording sessions for the band's fifth full-length studio album begin today (Feb 1st). Of course I, like a lot of Bullet fans wasn't too big on their last album Temper Temper (2013), but it had a couple of good songs. I also felt the same way about Fever (2010) when it first came out, but I enjoy it a lot more now. Plus I think it encompasses everything the band is about musically. I just think it could have been better lyrically in a few places. Producing the new album is production guru Colin Richardson, who produced the band's first two albums: The Poison (2005) and Scream Aim Fire (2008), as well as engineer Carl Bown. |
This album though is not about going backwards. We're excited to work with Colin again, but equally excited to be working with Carl Bown for the first time, who we consider the most exciting new British record producer out there right now, and the guy to help take this Bullet record to exciting new places. Today we start the recording process for #BFMV5. We'll be taking and uploading one exclusive new photo from the studio per day on our Instagram account, so if you're not signed up yet, you're missing out, as we've just posted our first pic over there now. Get involved. #BFMV5".
If that's not enough, the band have also announced earlier in January that they will be hitting the road this summer in North America on the Summer's Last Stand Tour supporting Slipknot, along with special guests Lamb Of God and Motionless In White. The new album is expected to drop later this year. Who's ready for some new Bullet For My Valentine? I for sure am!
