  | Blog author: Alex Stojanovic Shredders week at BangerTV continues. Yesterday was the world premiere of the first episode of their new show "Shredders Of Metal", and it introduced us to the panel of judges: Sam Dunn, Daniel Dekay and Alex Skolnick, as well as all the shredder contestants taking part in the competition. Each competitor showcased who they were as a player with a 60-second guitar solo, and one competitor has been eliminated so far, with six shredders remaining. Episode 2 is all about speed. Alex Skolnick picks up his guitar and demonstrates the incredible solo in Testament's "Practice What You Preach", and the contestants have to re-create the first five-note pattern that repeats at the beginning, but there's a twist. They have to play it along to a metronome at four increasing speeds and execute it cleanly and in time. Some of the contestants pulled it off really well, and some of course, not so well. Six shredders remain, as the quest to find the ultimate shredder continues! Watch below! |
