Last summer, the folks at BangerTV premiered the new metal guitar competition series: Shredders Of Metal, and set out on a quest to find the ultimate shredder, and that turned out to be Frankie Caracci of Toronto's very own Vesperia (2015 Wacken Metal Battle champions). BangerTV has announced that Shredders Of Metal returns this year for season 2, and applications are now open. The criteria to apply includes applicants recording themselves on video, uploading the video to YouTube or any other video site, and then filling out the submission form. Be sure to include the link to your video in the submission form. You can enter at this location. Submissions close on March 5th. Like last season, the show will be shot here in Toronto at the BangerTV headquarters. This year's judging panel features returning judges Sam Dunn (Banger Films) and Alex Skolnick (Testament / Alex Skolnick Trio), as well as some fresh blood with newcomer judge Ben Weinman (Dillinger Escape Plan). Sam comments: "I’m thrilled that Shredders of Metal is back for a second season. The response to our first season was beyond our expectations and I’m stoked to raise the bar. Can’t wait for some new shredders to get in the ring!" Ben comments: As a fan of Banger, my fellow panel judges, and ripping guitar, I am beyond honoured to be a part of this event.
