Mathcore quartet Arson Choir have released the music video for their new single "Ravenous" via War Against Records.  Accordng to the band, it's their first release since Covid, and after going through a big lineup change.

Inspired by the 1999 Guy Pierce film of the same name, Phil Penegar wanted to capture the frantic and crazy energy that is embodied in both the film and the single as well as the themes seen in the Japanese anime Attack On Titan which he was binging at the time.  Listeners are taken for a rollercoaster ride with pummeling chords and upbeat drums that are sure to feed the cannibalistic urges.

It's pretty wild to know that it will be 20 years since it was 2005 next year, and while we're on the subject, two metal bands that took the metal world by storm at that time were Trivium and Bullet For My Valentine when they released Ascendancy and The Poison that year.  Both albums are now considered classics for the new generation just like Master Of Puppets, Rust In Peace, Reign In Blood and Number Of The Beast were for the previous generation.

As a result, there is no better way to celebrate the milestone of these two iconic records and give back to the fans than by playing them live in full.  Think about it, Ascendancy and The Poison played in full!  Now, THAT's a smokin' night out! 

​Now, the two bands confirmed in a press conference in London that it will be a "World" tour, but to start things off, the tour will kick off in the U.K in January 2025, and will be happening in arenas, which makes complete sense, given that both bands are huge in the U.K and where they got their big breaks back in the day (no surprise because Bullet is British)

Aptly titled The Poisoned Ascendancy Tour, the tour will give fans a chance to hear some of the awesome deep cuts like "Declaration", "Departure", "Hit The Floor" and "Cries In Vain".  The run will kick off in Cardiff, Wales on January 26 (Matt Heafy's birthday) and conclude on Feb 2 at the legendary O2 Arena in London, with further world tour dates to come later.  Tickets go on sale next Friday, March 1 at 10 AM local time.  This is guaranteed to be one of 2025's biggest metal tours.

It has been 13 long years since the ladies of Kittie have released any new music, but today, that has all changed with the release of the music video for "Eyes Wide Open", their first new song since the release of the I've Failed You album in 2011.  After the success of their reunion shows at a number of festivals last year and in 2022, the ladies feel that now the time is right for new music.  Speaking of which, they have also announced that they've signed to Sumerian Records for a new album that's tentatively due later this year.  In the meantime, the video for "Eyes Wide Open" can be streamed down below.  Look for more soon!  Welcome back ladies!

It's gonna be 5 years this year since Slayer hung up the pentagram, but since then, Kerry King (the egotistical one trick pony) has had plans for a solo band, but the pandemic slowed things down drastically, and now's the perfect time to announce everything.  After all the rumours that have been circulating regarding the lineup, we now know who is in it.  With the exception of Paul Bostaph on drums, which has been obvious for a while, Phil Demmel is on lead guitar, Kyle Sanders of Hellyeah is on bass and Mark Osegueda of Death Angel is on vocals.  The debut album called From Hell I Rise (very creative, King) is out on May 17, and was produced by Josh Wilbur, and the first single "Idle Hands" is available below.

It's no surprise that several songs on the album are leftover tracks from the Repentless sessions, and the track listing and artwork are clearly from Slayer realms.  At this point, I'm expecting Repentless Pt. 2, just with better production.

It was during the pandemic times when we got the first full-length album from Kill The Lights, the supergroup featuring former and current members of Bullet For My Valentine, Throw The Fight, Still Remains and Threat Signal.  Between then and now, they released stand-alone singles, and they are now ready for full-length #2.

The band's sophomore album is titled Death Melodies and will be released on March 8 via Fearless Records.  The track listing and cover artwork can be seen below.  It will be the band's first album to feature Jay James on bass, now that the band has the original rhythm section of Bullet For My Valentine.  You can get another taste of the album with the music video for the single "From Ashes" down below.  Four of the twelve songs were previously released as singles.

Didn't have the chance to see Avenged Sevenfold on their recent two jaunts across North America?  Well, you may just have your chance now (that is if your city is included again or if there's a city near you that you can make a road trip to), because with touring in support of Life Is But A Dream in full swing, Avenged Sevenfold will continue making the rounds across North America with a newly announced set of dates set to take place throughout March, beginning on the 6th in Buffalo and running until the 31st in Newark.  The trek will also see support coming from Poppy and Sullivan King.

"VALHALLA, DELIVERANCE, WHY YOU EVER FORGOTTEN ME?!"

Can you believe that it's almost a whole decade since North America has seen tour from Blind Guardian?  Well, that's about to change in 2024, as they will be making their long-awaited return to our shores in the spring for a month-long jaunt in support of The God Machine.  The trek will begin on April 18 in Silve Spring, Maryland, and wrap up on May 17 in Milwaukee at the famous Milwaukee Metal Fest, with Night Demon serving as special guests.  You can see the full routing below.
