I would like to preface this little blub by explaining how much I love Zakk Wylde, so needless to say, I was excited. I am not a writer and I am sure that someone wrote a great review. What I will tell you is that I have shot a lot of shows, but this one was completely different. |
Five amazing guitarists in one place, all with completely different styles. This year's Generation Axe tour featured Steve Vai, Yngwie Malmsteen, Zakk Wylde, Nuno Bettencourt and Tosin Abisi, playing songs from their respective catalogs and collaborating on stage in various combinations to play some well-known covers. I was blown away by the pure talent of each and every one of them. My favorite highlight of the show was when Zakk kept coming out into the crowd shredding the entire time, not missing a note. I walked away with a new-found respect for each one of them. I was thoroughly blown away.
