The band played a three song set which included "South Of Heaven", "War Ensemble" and the band gave everyone another surprise by debuting a new song for the first time. The track is entitled "Implode" and will appear on Slayer's long awaited new studio album. The track was recorded earlier this year at Henson Studios in Los Angeles, and was produced by Terry Date and co-produced by Greg Fidelman, and the track is offered for a free download as a “thank you” to the fans for their continued support. The band have also announced that they have signed on with Nuclear Blast Records. The new album will be released on Nuclear Blast Records through the band’s own label imprint, closing out a 28-year relationship with Rick Rubin and American Recordings. There is currently no name confirmed for the label imprint. Slayer will embark on a short U.S tour with Suicidal Tendencies and Exodus with Gary Holt performing double duty on guitar with Slayer and Exodus. The band will then head overseas to Europe for a series of festivals and headline shows from June through August, before concluding the tour with a headline slot at the Heavy Montreal Festival on August 10th in Montreal, Quebec. The band will then return to the studio to record the remainder of the album this fall for an early 2015 release.
