Due to a rogue robot invasion from the outer reaches of our known galaxy, Nuclear Blast’s information technology was hijacked earlier today and a press release erroneously announced that Pennsylvania’s dirty groove rock quartet CROBOT had signed a worldwide deal with Nuclear Blast Records. This is incorrect, as the band is signed domestically to Wind-Up Records and is only licensed in Europe to Nuclear Blast.
“It was like something out of a Bugs Bunny cartoon,” states Metal Mission Control public relations specialist Loana dP Valencia. “First, they telepathically entered my mind searching for where I was hiding the Illudium P.U. 36 Explosive Space Modulator, and then they paralyzed me with a ray gun. While one took over my computer, another asked about the new MESHUGGAH album. It was bizarre, but I’m sure Carl Sagan and NASA would’ve been thrilled.”
We repeat: CROBOT are not signed to Nuclear Blast in North America; however, their new upcoming album is, in fact, licensed to Nuclear Blast in Europe. They are happily & domestically signed to Wind-Up Records.
It is uncertain why Nuclear Blast’s Los Angeles office was targeted today. It is also currently unknown if the rogue robot invasion involved other heavy metal record labels.
More news as it unfolds.
We now return you to your regularly scheduled programming of the classic 1953 Merry Melodies cartoon, “Duck Dodgers in the 24½th Century.”
The following promotion is the reason for this new message. Apologies if any inconveniences have been caused.
