Going to a local venue to see your favourite band from outside of Canada may become a thing of the past thanks to Jason Kenney, Minister of Employment and Social Development, and Multiculturalism.
His ministry has increased the application fee for international touring artists from $150.00 to $425.00per band or group member. An increase of $275.00.
The announcement came officially from the Minister on Aug. 7, 2013 but has been effective since July 31, 2013.
