It’s time TMD announces the 10 bands that received the highest point totals among the online judges in the semi final round. Thanks again to all the participants in the ‘Battle of Unsigned Groove Metal’ online contest! Good luck to the TOP 10 in the final round on April 30th!!
Judging for the semi-final round was based on the most current studio recording and the finals are based on video of live performance. Here is the basic breakdown on exactly how the scoring process works:
1st round (Semi-Finals)- Scoring for STUDIO RECORDING (1-10 point scale) is based on 3 separate criteria:
1. Production Quality
2. Musicianship
3. Songwriting
The overall top scoring band of both combined semi and Final round will be crowned winner of the online contest and receive a label representation deal with THE METAL DEN RECORDS (Value $3,000). Prizes to be announced for the other top 5 finalists once the champion is crowned on April 30th!!!
