In March 21stof 2009, at Omar Ibn El-Khattab Secondary school, a robotic team was born from six teenagers as initial members for the FLL 2009 Smart Move competition.
Getting the 29thrank among the Arab nations' level, and defeating the jubaly school ( the organizer of the competition), these guys kept working on their smart ideas year after year, joining competitions to prove their abilities.
One of the ideas that came to the general manager of the team ( Amer Thiab), was to make a jet engine. This project was initiated and worked on until 2011, but they faced money problems, so they missed the deadline.2012, This is the year they realized their dream. This is the year of making the Black Shark.
Black shark is the greatest achievement by the F16 team; it’s a handmade electric guitar. They continued working on it since the beginning of 2012, and are ready to unleash the first edition of this guitar in August of 2012.
The F16 team leader spoke about this guitar the day of its release:
"Now we've finished the Black Shark with the the help of Mr. Wa'el Ashi (a professional carpenter and a musician) on August 23rd, 2012, and introduced it on the next day in the Blast Night II concert side to side with Bedlam, Chalice of Doom and Nathrzeim bands, thanks to JoScene institution and expecially Mohammed Jaber."
