I would like to take this time to acknowledge and salute a fellow metal head, a former online metal warrior and founder at Metal Maniacs, and a vegan; Katherine Ludwig. She passed away January 30, 2015 in Ithaca, New York with her family and friends surrounding her. Ms. Ludwig had been battling non-Hodgkin's lymphoma as reported in 2014.
Unfortunately I did not have the opportunity to meet or chat with such a legend in the metal music world. From what I have read, many bands, and industry related folks remember her with fondness, respect, and friendship. I have come to know this very fine lady better through kind words shared by many at Blabbermouth.net. Her work, and lifestyle choices will continue to inspire many folks, including myself.
