Protokult's Ekaterina invited MMK to participate in the “Oy Kanada” weekend video recording shot in Toronto. While the production initially started on Nov. 25th, we happily attended the Saturday, and Sunday vid shoot portion. Fred and I arrived early on Sunday which gave us a chance to watch the day unfold, with many metalheads coming in to be recorded with flags and costumes of their origin, birth, and/or culture. For Germany I stood with the lovely Anastasia Utoplova (Mortalfall), and Martin Drozd (Prtotokult)., banging our heads and beer steins with gusto, and pride! Navneet Johal proudly represented India with Ashavari Joshi (At Dawn's Edge). As revealed by the release of the “Oy Kanada” video shoot, many metalheads participated over the course of the weekend to be a part of this project filled with Canadian and global love for the genre we support: METAL! As proclaimed within this video by Alex Irwin, “METAL is our bible.” Two horns up to that statement!

We are proud to have been given the opportunity to participate with behind the scenes video coverage of the “Oy Kanada” vid shoot, and to be encircled and surrounded by so many great musicians, and a huge metal family. ​Protokult managed to bring together many cultures, and ethnicity's to their brand of metal music, and for the that we thank you. Together we have shown the world that Canada truly is the best place to live in the world! OY! Kanada! Cheers!
