Today (March 3, 2016) marks the 30th anniversary of one of the greatest records of all time: Metallica's Master Of Puppets: the record that broke thrash metal through to the masses in 1986 and it still remains as vital to this day and will be for years to come. Metallica has been a huge part of my life and a great influence on me ever since I got into metal back in 2004 just before I turned 12. They were my gateway metal band. To this day, Master Of Puppets remains not only my favourite Metallica record and one of my top three favourite thrash records of all time, but one of my top five favourite albums of all time.
