The message below came to me via an email from Mr. Robert Bolger, and I will now share this with you, the heads of this site. I believe this documentary, Behind The Suit And Tie, will give bands and fans a clear insight to the metal music industry label leaders and how they are rolling with many issues like piracy of music, concert ticket sales, new strategies on marketing their bands, etc. I for one am looking forward to seeing the complected work and we have provided you with a trailer for the time being courtesy of DVS Artist Management and Robert Bolger.
"Christian Zyp of "Moving Radio" which airs on CJSR FM 88.5 in Edmonton Alberta CA conducted an interview with Robert Bolger creator/producer of the upcoming heavy metal recording industry documentary "Behind the Suit and Tie". "Moving Radio" is a program that focuses on independent and underground cinema. you can now listen to the two part chat at the location below.
Five years in the making, the recording industry documentary "Behind The Suit And Tie" appears to finally be on the brink of release. A new six-minute extended trailer can be viewed below.
Tentatively due in November via BigCartel.com, "Behind The Suit And Tie" "pulls no punches and features some of the prime movers in the heavy metal industry drawing back the veil of mystique surrounding the music business and addressing tough questions about the industry itself, how it's run and where labels see their role in a digital future," according to a press release.
Through a series of interviews with players from both indie and major labels, "Behind The Suit And Tie" "will showcase the truth of how the music industry is being affected by the downward spiral of CD sales and how new and up and coming artists must learn to adjust to changing times."
Commented creator/producer Robert Bolger: "Unlike most music documentaries more musician-focused approach, 'Behind The Suit And Tie' will spend more time with the people behind the labels.
