The brand new track titled "The Last Journey" features former singer Soren Adamsen, who sang on When Death Comes and My Blood, and original singer Flemming Ronsdorf, who sang on the first four albums. I'm sure that for a lot of old-school fans, hearing Flemming's voice again on a new recording felt really nostalgic. It's certainly a great treat for fans of all generations to hear a track that features all the singers that have appeared on the band's studio albums. The music isn't thrashy, but it's still heavy and super catchy, just like you would expect from Artillery. The verses are on the somber side with clean guitars and the chorus is nice and heavy, and it contains a big unity vibe when you hear all three Artillery voices combined.
In addition, to accompany the single, the band recorded a cover of Morten's favourite Metallica song, which is "Trapped Under Ice". The band did a fantastic job on the cover, and I love how it sounds just as heavy as the original. Even though Artillery might be down to just one original member now with Michael Stutzer, that doesn't mean that they're done. With new guitarist Kræn Meier, the band vow to soldier on while continuing to honour Morten and his legacy.
