They're called A Dead Tree Doesn't Talk. As I was doing some research on them, I found out they hail from Gothenburg, Sweden, they were formed in 2010 and they started off as a Rammstein cover band, and they have released one EP so far called Arcus in 2015. However, the band just released a new track called "Cyanide", which this review will focus on. |
If you're into deathcore and metalcore, this track will undoubtedly appeal to you. This track also marks the band's first recording with new vocalist Adam Rexius. The track starts off with a rather djent sounding riff, along with a synth melody before heading into a very black metal sounding verse, but the vocals are still in the deathcore style. The track also features additional vocals by Daniel Hakansson. In all honesty, this track didn't exactly blow me away. I don't see myself re-visiting this track any time soon just because it's not exactly my style, and there's so many bands out there that sound very similar. I'm not saying this track is bad. To me it's just nothing special. I'm only into a couple of bands of this type, but like I mentioned above, if you're into deathcore and heavy breakdowns, you will no doubt enjoy "Cyanide". I wish A Dead Tree Doesn't Talk all the best in their future. If this is your cup of tea, get the track and catch the band live.
