Calgary Preliminary Rounds:
Friday, January 12th
Friday, January 26th
Saturday, February 10th

Calgary Final: Friday, February 23rd

Western Final: Friday, April 6th in Calgary

Canadian Final (East vs. West): Saturday, June 9th in Toronto

The winning band will receive:
– A slot at the 2018 Wacken Open Air Festival. Full professional backline provided.
– Return flights to Germany, including VIP camping at the festival.

I'm really glad that there are still people who are supporting metal music. I thought that the metal genre, has died out along with this generation. I've only heard a few brand new artists that sing metal during the past few years. I won't be missing out this contest, because I aspire to hear from brand new names in the industry. I hope that they light up the fire of this generation's taste in metal music.
