Wacken Metal Battle Canada is proud to announce 
Vile Insignia winner of Calgary's third qualifying round that took place on Saturday, April 5th at Dicken's (1000 9 Ave SW.). The band will move on to compete at city final on Saturday, May 17 at Vern’s (622 8 Ave SW.) alongside previous round one and two winners Krepitus and False Flag with two more Calgary qualifying battles remaining. Two bands from the Calgary city final will move to the Alberta final on Friday, May 23 at Dicken's Pub (1000 9 Ave SW.) where the bands will face off against two bands from Edmonton's city final for one to win a spot at the national final in Toronto, ON on June 7th at Opera House (735 Queen St. E.). One independent Canadian metal band will be chosen to perform at the international Wacken Metal Battle during Wacken Open Air 2014 taking place from July 31- Aug 2.
