Lethal Halo radiates an energetic aura of varied styles backed by soothing yet edgy melodeath guitar riffs. With three of five band members sharing the vocal duties, each brings an eclectic range of Slipknot-esque clean vocals all the way to menacing unholy growls.
What may be considered the night’s underdog, Mournir are going to come out swinging with a vengeance. The groups melodic death presentation clearly yields strong influences from Dethklok – but with a much more serious attitude. The destructive force behind every song summoned is definitely going to shatter some necks.
OVER THE COALS
Female fronted Over the Coals bring forth a strong presence of death-ridden thrash core Chimaira; heavier than heavy riffs with hypnotizing and addicting vocals tied together with ever-steady heart pounding drumming and bass destruction.
The islanders known as Scimitar pack a coastal sound unlike anything I have ever heard. Lyrics of pirating and bloody naval warfare line the aggressive and razor sharp growls. Enchanting guitar melodies scatter the map backed by perfect tempo changes reinforced by the stellar drumming.
