Sons of Seth began their metal career back in October of 2009 in the province of Quebec in Canada. In February of the following year the band started recording their EP titled, “Where's the Metalhead?”. This disc dropped in December 2010.

METALHEAD

What's not to like? The title of the song tells us that we will hear greatness! This is what we want to hear in a thrash tune. Wicked beats accompanied by brilliant guitar riffs.

UNDER IN THE CROWD
Master of the bloody dance. Danse macabre. This tune is about the pit that so many metalheads love to enter, and take part in. I really dig the tightness of the drums and bass here.

OCTOBERS PAIN
Visions of the highlands come to my mind. There is a very celtic feel to this tune. We are treated to a story of brothers in arms coming home from battle.

NIGHTWRITER
The guitar is heard first, and then backed by the drums, and settles into a melodic tempo. The drummng in this tune is very strong. This factor allows the guitar hooks and riffs to shine through. The story of the nightwriter sounds legendary.

INTO DAMNED TIMES
We hear a melodic rhythm with a down trodden, very bleek, message in the lyrics. A tale of the current times we are in? Freakin' incredible guitar playing in this tune!! The fade out at the end is a nice touch.

My overall impression of the tunes of Sons of Seth is that the musicianship of the band members is very strong. The only point of criticism I have is that the vocals are weaker than they should be. Might be time to look for a vocalist that will compliment the superb sound I hear from Sons of Seth.
