3 Years Hollow kicked off the show. This unique band delivers hard rock that's equally melodic, hypnotic, and heavy. Their music and style is lyrical and noticeable. Their Album, “The Cracks” is available on ITunes.
Islander was the second band to perform. If you mixed P.O.D, Rage Against The Machine and a little old-school Beastie Boys; that would describe Islander’s sound to me. They engaged the crowd and had them singing their single "Coconut Dracula". Mikey hopped into the crowd and had everyone singing, they put on a great performance.
Gemini Syndrome was the 3rd band to go on. First thing you see is Brian coming out and standing on his kit to get the crowd started. The band soon joins him and the show begins. The crowd was full of “Synners”, they were singing along right with Aaron. I have seen this band a bunch of times and they just put on an amazing performance every time. When they started playing "Stardust", the whole entire ...
...crowd sang along. It’s just so much fun to look out into the crowd as a fan and see people singing along with you. After their set, they go out to meet their fans and just spend time connecting with the crowd. Their album LUX is on my current playlist. I highly recommend it!
Home-town hard hitters Nonpoint were the last to play. As a fan, I have been following Nonpoint since the days when Elias used to come into the Borders Books & Music I worked at and shop for music. As a show reviewer, they played to the home-crowd 100%. The evolution of their sound doesn’t break far from where they started from; it just keeps evolving into a new beast. They played their new hits as well as their fan favorites. They blew the venue up with their energy!! I stopped in my tracks and rocked out to "What a Day", and sang every word right with them. It was like being a kid again for me, after being around for years, it was amazing to see them again with such vigor and intensity. Their newest album, “The Return”, is available for you to go and pick up. You will not be disappointed.
