MY HOLLOW - On Borrowed Time

We literally traversed from one end of Toronto to the other. Our destination: The Rockpile. What a cool venue name, eh? It's been a music staple in Toronto for years!
Red and white helium filled balloons decorated the venue entrance, and it's interior. The Rockpile was partly filled, with many familiar faces from the local music scene. We set up the Metal Master Kingdom banner, and laid out some buttons, stickers, and cards between the merch tables of My Hollow and Desolate Rage. Thanks to the bands for giving us a spot at the venue!
Shortly after our arrival the band Christ Complex took the stage. I am not familiar with this band, but they got the crowd warmed up for the nights feature band, My Hollow.
Desolate Rage truly did just that. They raged our asses off! As many bands do, Jorge Sousa of Desolate Rage invited Graham Gaudreault from My Hollow onstage to share vocal duties for the tune “”Mentally Deranged”. The result translated into a very energetic vocal duo. These guys have great chemsitry, and should do more shows together.

To top the night off and the reason for attending the event was to celebrate the new CD titled On Borrowed Time from My Hollow. There were many cast members from the recently released video to support the tune “On Borrowed Time” in attendance. I had the opportunity to catch up with Mila Angelova who played a role in the video. She truly has an amazing voice, and I love her work in the band Tigerstar from couple of years ago. The crowd waited with great aniticpation for My Hollow to wreak havoc on The Rockpile. The stage was dark and the prerecorded intro piece summoned all to the front of the stage. With a crushing wave of energy, and sound, My Hollow filled the venue with their effervescent presence. The lads never disappoint on stage. You know a band is crushing it when the pit starts up. Last night proved to be a night full of appreciation for a band that truly loves their fans. They gave us so much ear splitting, and soul satisfying metal that we in turn reciprocated with shouts of more, and with many horns flying high. My absolute fave song “Cold Dark Days” had me frenzied at the front, and proved to a crowd pleaser too. With the end of night came a feeling of contentment. We left with smiles on our faces, many kisses

on our cheeks, and so many hugs from the tight knit group of band members, and metalheads alike. Being at a My Hollow show is like a family get together, filled with shenanigans, and lots of camaraderie.
