Review of the CD "CRIES OF WAR"

As soon as the first song Cries of War pumps out from the speakers, we are pummeled with brutal drum and bass beats like a Via rail train blasting through the ears. This tune reflects the world economic, political, and social crisis of today. We are in the throes of war!! Get ready for the onslaught, and kill the weak! 

As we journey through this disc, and remember this band hails from a Canada's capitol city, one must wonder if living so close to the House of Commons has lent a flavor of restlessness and discord from these dudes. I for one would not be surprised one freakin' bit!!

Of course the tune “Metal til You Puke” is just an old time party thrash tune. I heard the band play this live in Toronto for their CD release party where my horns were held high. We can all relate to thrashing and partying till we puke, after all we are Canadian and its our favorite past time.

And to close the disc is the tune “Canadian Metal”. The guitar is as fast as you're goin' to get! This tune hits you hard, like a left hook to the face and it makes me so f*ckin' proud to be a Canadian! We need to petition the government to change our national anthem!

I personally love Joe Thrasher! They do not disappoint metal heads when watching them live or listening to their albums! In my opinion, this band is one of the top thrash bands in Canada today!
