After cracking the seal of the wrap on the new disc I am feeling that the tunes will be like getting smashed in the face! The artwork on this disc has deep dark reds and purples with black, much like a storm! So going into the first song I am hit with superb drum blasts with a tight bass line. The guitar takes us on a roller coaster ride of hooks, melodics, and drama. The intense vocals blast through the ears beyond the brain into the inner sanctum of ones being!!
I am intrigued with the name of the band Dissonance in Design and my interpretation is as follows: a dischord of sound united for the greater symphony of metal notes and nuances.
I am impressed with the flow of each song, but particularly with the final song, The American Reality as it weaves through the ups and downs of the state of the country. I thought of this song having chapters that reveal themselves with breaks, and tempo changes. Turbulent most of the time, but has elements of harmony within some chapters.
Do yourself a favour, and crack open your own copy of this disc and allow the tunes to wash over and thru you like a vast metal wave of destruction and chaos. Get your copy of Neurotransmitting An Epiphany via this link:
