Anuryzm has had a long journey to get to where they are today, going through several line-up changes, relocations, tragedy, and adversity, “Worms Eye View” has come full circle. The band was originally formed in 03 in Lebanon, and has moved around quite a bit. Even relocating to Canada at one point where they played the local circuit for some time. Fast forward to 2010 and once again Anuryzm had to relocate to UAE. Not shaken by any of this John continued to reform the group. All this culminated into their most recent effort “Worms Eye View”.

Musically this is a very diverse group. “Fragmenting the Soul” is one of my favorite songs thus far. Starts with some nice atmospheric synthesizers, rips in with a thick, heavy guitar, some incredible pounding drums, and followed up with some very diverse vocals. A very well structured song, bringing in the right elements as the song progresses. Nadeem’s Vocals are truly commendable, well pronounced, an abusive growl followed by some highly pitched clean vocals.

Overall I am really impressed with the production value of their music. One can honestly see that these guys took their time to put out a quality effort. There’s really not much that I want to pick apart here. I can hear every instrument clearly, they are on time and the music weaves in and out from heavy aggressiveness, to melodic harmonies continuously throughout all of their songs. Songs such as “Breaking the Ballot” from loud and in your face metal to a soft acoustical piece layered with a great solo, then building with a melodic intensity once again to culminate the song to its completion.

The best thing about working with MMK is that I get to hear incredible unsigned talent that truly deserves a shot at the big time. I can honestly say that Anuryzm has some incredible musicianship behind them and I’m really digging what they are doing.
